The third outpost of New York steakhouse Quality Eats has opened in the NoMad section of Manhattan. The new location also sees the continuation of the brand’s partnership with locally based architecture and design firm Reunion Goods & Services.
Spread across 3,500 square feet, the restaurant embraces an industrial identity, while also weaving masculine architectural details into the narrative of the interior. Abstract carvings of ingredients are etched into the wall panels of the 100-seat dining room. Geometric molded panels complement custom perforated brass lighting fixtures inspired by the early 20th-century wall fixtures of Vienna.
The 24-seat bar and lounge features louvered amber glass as well as a large mirror to reflect and refract the lighting scheme. Portraits from artist Simone Masoni also populate the interior with splashes of blue and pink pastel tones. Handpainted trompes l’oeil cabinets showcase decorative china along the walls, while a large repurposed electrical switch transformed into an Art Deco-inspired Quality Control panel is mounted to vintage marble in the center of the space.
