Toronto-based firm DesignAgency has completed its upgrade of the interiors at the Fairmont Tremblant in Montreal, including the lobby, and dining rooms and bars. Located at the threshold of Canada’s famed Mont Tremblant, the property has been enhanced to broaden its appeal as an alpine landmark.
Midcentury-inspired furnishings welcome visitors in the lobby along with earth tones, warm lighting, and a concierge desk inspired by retro steamer trunks. The elegant Choux Gras Brasserie Culinaire evokes a cosmopolitan flair reminiscent of 1930s Paris with cobalt velvet booths, dark wood walls, pill-shaped brass mirrors, and a circular fireplace. Panoramic views of the Laurentian Mountains act as a stunning backdrop to the space. Opposite a double-sided fireplace, the Axe Lounge Bar has been redesigned with plush velvet and leather furnishings in autumnal hues that offset the linearity of the room. Dining concept Le Comptoir Cuisine du Marché also evokes warmth with opulent glass-paneled screen partitions and wood and stone finishes that balance the restaurant’s white tiles and refreshed lighting design.
“We were excited to reinvent the Fairmont Tremblant to create a simultaneously modern and timeless atmosphere that would be welcoming and comfortable for both hotel guests and village visitors,” says DesignAgency cofounder Allen Chan.
