Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants is plotting the expansion of its European footprint with the launch of the boutique hotel brand’s first Hungarian outpost. Slated to open early 2025, Kimpton Budapest will be located in the heart of the city in historic Jozsef Bem square. The property will comprise 127 keys and thoughtfully designed accommodations crafted with a touch of playfulness. A rooftop bar overlooking the cityscape will also crown the hotel.
“Budapest is one of Europe’s most popular destinations with beautiful UNESCO world heritage sites as well as rapidly growing corporate demand as a local business hub. It is an ideal fit for our Kimpton brand, whose heartfelt, personalised service and bold design will resonate well with this vibrant city,” says Willemijn Geels, IHG Hotels & Resorts’ vice president of development for Europe. “We’ve seen just how well our luxury boutique offering has been received in Europe, and this new signing only reinforces momentum for Kimpton’s international expansion.”
Kimpton currently operates seven hotels across Europe and has an additional four properties in the pipeline.
