Rows of gold handpainted oyster shells—a Southern symbol of good luck—form a backdrop for a seating area in Dixie’s downstairs restaurant. 

Art-filled dining alcoves create intimate spaces within the lower-level dining room. 

Old letters and photos from a ladies club adorn the upstairs dining room, set under the gables of the circa-1880s cottage that houses the restaurant.

A pathway lined with columns and antiqued mirrors connects 1952 1/2 liquorette to the restaurant. 

Bathrooms, one of the designer’s favorite spaces, feature individual floor treatments such as blue and white porcelain tile done in a gingham pattern.
