The 8,630-square-foot terrace found off Electric Lemon restaurant at Equinox Hudson Yards boasts a sculpture by Jaume Plensa that floats above an infinity-edged reflecting pool.
The backbar at Electric Lemon is made up of a series of rotating boxes that can flip between showcasing a handpainted mirror front or cordials, so you don’t have to “flirt with the vodka from last night,” says Norton.
The presidential suite is made to feel like a coveted New York penthouse apartment, with floor-to-ceiling windows that look out onto the Hudson River.
The club’s outdoor pool deck overlooks the Vessel, a beehive-esque structure made up of more than 150 interconnected stairs from designer Thomas Heatherwick, which is the art centerpiece of Hudson Yards.
A fire feature warms the club lounge, which Wang dressed in luxurious materials that speak to the hotel.
The club is all about the power of motion, says Wang, as seen in the indoor salt water pool area, which is wrapped in walls of screened windows, large concrete tiles etched with a wave pattern, and high-gloss ceilings that reflect the movements of the swimmers below.
Playing with the idea of balance, two-toned bathrooms feature tiered, sculpted vanities composed of three masses of stone and Corian, shown here in the presidential suite.
