Following a slew of reincarnations since first opening in the 1920s, Ibis Mediterranean Restaurant & Lounge was reimagined by Andres Escobar—president and CEO of Montreal-based Andres Escobar & Associates—when it reopened this past April as a signature restaurant at the Kimberly Hotel.

Flush against royal blue microsuede-upholstered walls, a series of oversized burgundy banquettes along two raised platforms flanking the main dining room create an intimate alternative to centrally located open-table seating.

A transitional space to the dining room, the bar features geometric mosaic flooring contrasted with large columns wrapped in sinuous lines characteristic of an Art Nouveau aesthetic. Heavy black-and-brown Murano glass lights fixtures hang over the bartop.

Silver-tinted glass chandeliers illuminate the spacious second floor lounge, which features recessed ceilings molded in a geometric design typical of the 1920s.
