Paris-based artist and architect Didier Fiúza Faustino conceived the XYZ Lounge as a “haven of peace.”

The gathering space and bar is housed inside culture and conference venue Zebrastraat.

The design balances the qualities of both a spaceship and a cathedral.

Materials like marble, stucco, fabric, and wood are juxtaposed with soft colors.

Sheer lighting also offsets the material palette and prefabricated steel frame of the interior.

Rooms on each side of the nave remain empty, without any partitions or walls.
