Architecture and interiors firm Arcsine presents Homecourt, a new restaurant project from NBA All-Star Tracy McGrady, in conjunction with Salt Partners Group. A Lakeland, Florida native, McGrady opened Homecourt in the heart of Lakeland’s Merchants Walk center. Arcsine seamlessly brought McGrady’s vision for Homecourt to life by delivering personalized, nostalgic touches while conveying the importance of the neighborhood’s ties to the restaurant.
When seated at the eye-catching bar area—the main focal point of the space, showcasing a modern interpretation of a jumbotron hanging from the ceiling—guests will notice tabletops made from reclaimed basketball courts as well as lighting fixtures reminiscent of a high school gym. Evoking not just a sense of adventure but comfort as well, Homecourt provides ample seating options, including plush booths, a locker room-inspired area, and a golf simulator space.
Authentic yet edgy embellishments continue throughout Homecourt, with vintage archival photographs accentuated with modern pops of colors, pendant flags from local teams, and custom eclectic sports-inspired artwork, including a vibrant mural outside near the patio area. Dedicated basketball fans will also appreciate how the printed numbers on the tables reference significant figures to McGrady, who holds a close relationship with his hometown and the Lakeland community.
