Guesthouse, a collection of members-only rental homes, has launched its flagship property in Northern California’s Truckee-Tahoe region.
Exclusive services include a private chef, driver, local guide, 24/7 house captain, and ski access to any Lake Tahoe resort.
A timeless mountain house design
Guesthouse Lake Tahoe conjures a timeless sensibility, thanks to architecture by Ryan Group Architects, interiors led by Halfdan Pedersen and Olympia Pearl, and furnishings and art from Michael Hsu Office of Architecture.
The property’s nearly 4,000-square-foot main residence, accompanied by the neighboring Titus House (featuring the soon-to-open Guesthouse Pantry bakery and café), celebrates its vibrant surroundings and encourages guests to connect with each other.
Soaring ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows frame panoramic mountain and downtown views, immersing guests in the alpine landscape while drawing natural light into the interiors. Warm elements and finishes such as dark stone and rich walnut accents, mahogany window trim, white oak hardwood floors, walnut clad ceilings nod to classic ski chalets, while slate entryway tiles with fossil imprints bring character into the home.
An open layout at Guesthouse Lake Tahoe
Inside, the home offers four bedrooms—including three king-sized suites and five-and-a-half baths—with dynamic communal spaces to connect.
The central great room, complete with a wraparound fireplace and open kitchen, forms the heart of the residence. A sense of retreat is achieved in the guestrooms through custom-built wardrobes, layered textiles, and handcrafted details.
Additional features include a finished garage, kitchenette, an upstairs loft, and a media room, where deep blue walls evoke the serene tones of nearby Lake Tahoe, complemented by a custom wrap-around walnut sofa table.
The interiors flow out onto three decks that boast ample seating, fire pit, and landscape views.
“Beginning with Guesthouse Lake Tahoe, Guesthouse defines a new category of hospitality that makes planning group stays easier than ever so guests can focus on connecting, creating, or simply building memories together,” says Trevor Cornwell, founder of Guesthouse.
