Inhabiting the 1920s Kansas City Club, the 144-room Hotel Kansas City is set to open this fall. The boutique hotel, part of Hyatt’s Unbound collection, is designed by Simeone Deary Design Group. The space is infused with a membership concept and is adorned with a range of both subliminal and explicit nods to the building’s club origins.
The 1920s Victorian-influenced guestrooms balance classic styles with unconventional twists, such as bathroom double doors that mimic an armoire, drapery resembling the neckline of a dress, and side lamps mirroring the hoop of a skirt.
A Midwest-inspired concept, the Town Company restaurant echoes the hotel’s inventive design take on Kansas City nostalgia. As a gesture to the original owners of the land the hotel sits on, the venue is modeled after a vintage law office featuring deep jewel tones and brass fixtures.El Gold, a modern day saloon, features murals by a renowned Missouri artist.
