Stonehill Taylor has completed interiors for South Carolina’s AC Hotel Greenville.
In a unique form of adaptive reuse, the firm designed the hotel’s public spaces and five suites that highlight the site’s history as the former headquarters of the Greenville News. The overarching theme of the interiors references a European modern print house in homage to the newspaper. The firm also referenced the energy of the art and theater district neighborhood, the surrounding nature, and the textile mills of the area. Stonehill Taylor also incorporated the work of 30 local artists in the public spaces and suites.
