The Wolseley Hotels, a new brand from Minor Hotels, is set to launch its inaugural property in New York.
Slated to open in 2027, the Wolseley Hotel New York occupies a landmark 1905 building originally designed by architectural firm McKim, Mead & White.
Once the clubhouse for the Lambs Club, the historic address—just steps from Bryant Park in Midtown Manhattan—is deeply intertwined with Broadway’s creative community. Today, the property is being reimagined to bridge New York’s vibrant cultural scene with British sophistication.
Honoring history at the Wolseley Hotel New York
Within the storied walls, the hotel’s design narrative will marry classical elegance with a modern restraint.
The hotel will offer 76 guestrooms and suites, each conceived with thoughtfully considered layouts, refined interiors, and bespoke craftsmanship that draw inspiration from the Art Deco nature of its London namesake, a café-restaurant on Piccadilly in Mayfair.
What amenities to expect
The Wolseley New York, the restaurant’s first foray into the U.S., will serve as the property’s social anchor. The flagship dining destination will offer all-day dining and signature cocktails in a vibrant, sophisticated environment that channels the grand café tradition and European sensibility of the original Wolseley Piccadilly.
Beneath the restaurant, an intimate cellar-level speakeasy will offer a discreet, atmospheric setting for evening gatherings.
Further enhancing the guest experience, a wellness and wellbeing center will underscore the brand’s dedication to holistic luxury and restorative comfort.
Looking ahead, the brand plans to debut destinations across Europe, North America, Asia, and the Middle East.
