There’s only one week left to submit project and product entries for consideration in the 18th annual HD Awards. Lauded as the most prestigious awards for the hospitality industry, the yearly event recognizes the best and most innovative achievements in design from around the globe, as well as the creative teams behind them. The deadline for entries has been extended to March 11th, 2022.
The projects portion spans 26 categories, including Visual Identity, Hybrid Spaces, Camps + Lodges, and a comprehensive Guestrooms category. The HD editorial team will also select a Designer and Hotelier of the Year, both of which will be honored at the June 7th awards ceremony in New York.
Innovative products will be recognized in 13 categories, including Custom Art + Accessories, Technology, as well as the newly added Sustainable Solutions, which highlights products that are committed to environmentally friendly practices.
In order to be considered, all submissions must have debuted between December 2020 and March 2022.

Hospitality Design (HD) is again joining forces with West Elm to present the fourth annual HD/West Elm Student Product Design Competition. Current students and those who have been out of school for up to a year are eligible to enter. This year, the competition is focused on designing a statement upholstered occasional chair intended for hospitality and commercial spaces. The winning designer will receive a $5,000 prize and have their product produced by West Elm. The deadline to enter is Friday, April 8th.

Submissions are also open for the second annual Hospitality Diversity Action Council’s (HDAC) second annual Awards of Excellence Program. Honoring exemplary work in the hospitality industry, the award(s) will be granted to individuals and companies in multiple categories—including ownership/management, architecture/design/landscape, branding, and vendor/product—that are working to advance our industry through the promotion of diversity, inclusion, and equity.

The winners and finalists of the 18th annual HD Awards will be selected by esteemed jury of industry professionals, which will be announced in January 2022. All honorees will be featured in the May/June 2022 issue of Hospitality Design magazine and fêted at an awards ceremony on June 7th, 2022 in New York.
