Hilton has introduced Apartment Collection by Hilton, a new lodging category, signaling a strategic expansion into the furnished apartment and flexible living sector.
The brand will debut in the U.S. through a partnership with Placemakr, an operator in short-term and extended-stay apartment hospitality, with initial properties bookable through Hilton channels in the first half of 2026.
Designed to meet a rising demand for flexible, longer-stay accommodations, the Apartment Collection by Hilton blends the comfort and autonomy of fully furnished apartments with Hilton’s established service standards, booking infrastructure, and loyalty ecosystem.

The launch builds on Hilton’s global inventory of approximately existing 10,000 apartment-style units, with plans to add up to 3,000 new units through the Placemakr partnership.
Hilton expects continued growth through additional franchise agreements with multifamily owners. Meanwhile, Placemakr brings an asset-light operating model and multifamily expertise to the partnership, working with building owners to convert entire properties—or a portion of units—into furnished short-term rentals.
What to expect from Hilton’s Apartment Collection
The Apartment Collection by Hilton will offer studio to four-bedroom residences tailored to a range of travel needs.
Accommodations will feature chef-ready kitchens, separate living areas, and in-unit or on-site laundry, alongside 24/7 onsite support. Properties will be located in prime urban and suburban markets, providing access to local culture while supporting guests’ daily routines.
Select properties will include shared amenities, such as fitness centers, rooftop pools and terraces, communal work and gathering spaces, and onsite dining or retail.
All Apartment Collection by Hilton properties will be fully integrated into Hilton’s booking platforms and loyalty systems.
