Interior designer Barbara Best-Santos has recently joined ForrestPerkins’ San Francisco office as an associate principal. Boasting more than 20 years of experience, she previously worked in Gensler’s local outpost as a hospitality practice area leader for eight years and directed her eponymous Best-Santos Studio for a decade.
“Joining ForrestPerkins allows me to bring all of my experience to a thriving interiors group with an eye on expansion of practice area offerings and a more global presence,” Best-Santos says.
“Barbara has the ability to bring unique designs to life while collaborating closely with clients to achieve aesthetic, financial, and operational success,” adds ForrestPerkins president Deborah Lloyd Forrest. “There is great enthusiasm and respect for Barbara and we are pleased that she has joined ForrestPerkins as we continue to grow our West Coast presence.”
Best-Santos’ global portfolio of projects includes work for brands including Four Seasons, Hyatt, Marriott International, Westin, Kimpton, and Fairmont. She most recently led the redesign of the historic Claremont Hotel & Spa in Berkeley, California.
ForrestPerkins merged with design and architecture firm Perkins Eastman in January, and functions as a distinct design studio within the practice.
