Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group has promoted Frances Gonzalez to vice president of operations for Latin America. Gonzalez, who will be based in Miami, previously served as senior regional director of operations in Latin America and will report directly to Javier Rosenberg, Carlson’s COO and executive vice president, Americas.
“Frances will play a key role for us as we look to accelerate the growth of our brands throughout Latin America,” Rosenberg says. “She will oversee all aspects of operations along with owner relations, hotels performance, and compliance.”
Gonzalez joined Carlson Rezidor in 2001 as a district director, and was promoted to her current role in 2012. She was previously based at a Radisson franchised hotel where she held several roles including hotel trainee, front desk manager, and director of sales.
In February, the company announced it had entered into a definitive agreement to resume direct Radisson brand development for Latin America from Royal Hotels International. The acquisition includes two management contracts in Chile for the Radisson Petra La Dehesa and Radisson Petra Concepcion, and the first managed operations for Carlson Rezidor in Latin America.
