CERSAIE, the International Exhibition of Ceramic Tile and Bathroom Furnishings, is set to take place in Bologna, Italy—the heart of the Italian ceramics industry—from September 23rd–27th, 2024.
Founded in 1983, the exhibition attracts 100,000-plus visitors from over 160 countries annually, offering hoteliers and hospitality designers an incomparable window into the latest trends, products, innovations, and cutting-edge installation techniques in ceramic tile and sanitaryware, along with the opportunity to cultivate meaningful connections.
With more than 600 international manufacturer exhibitors, attendees at this year’s show can expect to see thousands of debut tile products—from large, floor-to-ceiling ceramic formats to small, colorful brick sizes—that offer new design solutions for the world of hospitality.
These products will showcase the latest design and color trends, from nature-inspired green and ocean-blue hues to soft pastel pink and sunny yellow tones, and feature glamorous prefabricated porcelain sinks and highly coveted wood, stone, and marble-effect surfaces that mimic the real material through innovative 3D textural finishes and through-body veining technologies.
Along with its stunning aesthetic quality, ceramic and porcelain offer an inherent durability and versatility that make these materials ideal surfacing solutions for high-traffic hospitality spaces, including restaurants, hotels, spas, shops, and more, and offering endless design possibilities.
Additionally, ceramic and porcelain tile are made of natural raw materials, and therefore do not contain PVC, phthalates, and vinyl chloride or emit harmful volatile organic compounds, making them one of the most sustainable and healthy surfacing choices on the market.
Renowned for featuring acclaimed international speakers, CERSAIE show organizers are thrilled to have Japanese architect Riken Yamamoto, winner of the 2024 Pritzker Architecture Prize, present the keynote lecture as part of the fair’s “Building, Dwelling, Thinking” series. Yamamoto will be the 13th Pritzker Prize Laureate to deliver this prestigious and eagerly anticipated lecture.
Other learning opportunities will be available for hospitality professionals as part of the robust conference schedule of design, technical, and sustainability-oriented seminars from acclaimed international speakers.
In addition to the richness of the show, the city of Bologna—dubbed Italy’s culinary capital—is a remarkable cultural and architectural destination. Visitors at this year’s show will be immersed within the city’s historic, UNESCO World Heritage Site-protected streetscapes, landmarks, and porticos.
