Peter Burgoyne has been named the new creative director for Long Island City, New York-based dash design. Burgoyne brings more than two decades’ worth of experience across four continents to the firm. He most recently worked as the director of design for local firm Jeffrey Hutchison & Associates.
“Peter has the far-reaching experience, creativity, and business acumen to meet our clients’ needs in effective, yet original ways,” says dash design principal and founder David Ashen. “His unique perspective and depth of understanding of our clients, the retail market, design, and technology make him a tremendous asset to our company and clients.”
The new role will have Burgoyne heading business strategies for retail and continuing a dialogue with clients. He will also focus on accentuating the architectural nature of client spaces through the juxtaposition of modern art and technology.
Burgoyne’s past design projects include work for brands such as Saks Fifth Avenue, Duane Reade, Amnesty International, and the Dallas Cowboys. He was also one of the lead designers behind South Korea’s flagship location for the Shinsegae department store in Centum City, the largest mixed-use department store on the planet.
Burgoyne earned a Business and Technology Education Council diploma from the University of Cambria and a bachelor of arts from Northumbria University, both in the UK.
