Début Hotel Group and Hampshire Hotels Management have appointed David Kuperberg as the company’s new chief development officer.
“As we continue to focus on the growth of our company and our brands, I am confident that David will lead the stellar team here in North America and abroad, and he will help us grow our brands in our key areas of focus,” says Jay Stein, interim president and CEO of Début Hotel Group and Hampshire Hotels Management.
Having worked with the company since 2013, Kuperberg will now be responsible for overseeing development efforts of Dream Hotels, Time Hotels, Night Hotels, Augustus Hotels and Resorts, and Unscripted Hotels.
From 2011 to 2013, Kuperberg served as the senior vice president of development for Virgin Hotels, where he was in charge of leading global expansion. He worked at Wyndham Hotel group from 2004 to 2001 in vice president of global development and senior director of mergers and acquisitions roles. He was previously an associate at True North Capital—a private equity group and merchant bank—as well as a strategy consultant at Computer Sciences Corporation.
Kuperberg earned his bachelor’s degree in history from the University of California, Berkeley, and a masters in health management from Yale University.
