Luxury and boutique hotel operator Denihan Hospitality has appointed
Carl L. Cohen to the newly created position of chief experience officer
(CXO).
Under the leadership of CEO Brooke Barrett, Cohen will serve on
Denihan’s executive committee, as well as lead the overall customer
experience.
“With his robust experience in brand building and customer insight, Carl
will play a key role in aligning our marketing and branding efforts
across the organization, ensuring that we deliver a superior
multichannel customer experience,” says Barrett.
Cohen most recently worked with MGM Resorts International, where he
served as chief marketing officer and vice president of marketing for
CityCenter, Aria Resort & Casino, Vdara Hotel & Spa, and the
Shops at Crystals.
With more than 15 years of hospitality experience, he has served in
high-level positions that include senior vice president of marketing and
customer facing technology for Starwood Hotels & Resorts, in
addition to chief marketing and sales officer for Dolce Hotels &
Resorts.
Cohen earned his bachelor’s degrees in accounting and Spanish from the
State University of New York (SUNY) at Albany. He also holds a master of
business administration in marketing from the Wharton School at the
University of Pennsylvania.
