Following more than a year of collaborations, principals Dieter Cartwright William Oberlin of Warren Red and Larah Moravek of Dutch East Design have merged their New York-based teams. In 2016, the two firms collaborated on Manhattan restaurants Casa Apicii, Jue Lan Club, Nickel & Diner, and a Rosa Mexicano outpost. Dutch East Design will continue to focus on interiors for hospitality, residential, and commercial projects, while Warren Red will remain a standalone branding agency.
Last year, Warren Red completed seven new brands for Kimpton: three hotels (the Gray, the Journeyman, and the Schofield Hotel) and four restaurants (Vol. 39, Boleo, the Outsider, and Tre Rivali).
Dutch East Design and Warren Red are set to embark on a slew of new endeavors such as a cocktail bar in Panama City, a ramen concept in Florida, a restaurant and bar in the Union Square Hyatt, and a new food hall in Midtown Manhattan.
