New York-based architecture and design firm DXA Studio has expanded its leadership team with five new members.
Román Falcón and Allysa Taylor have joined DXA as intermediate designers. Falcón is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin as well as the Universidad Politécnica Madrid, Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura. He previously held roles with Gabellini Sheppard Associates and ODA Architecture. Taylor formerly worked with O’Neill Rose Architects. She received a bachelor’s degree in sustainable architecture and design from the University of Hawaii at Manoa School of Architecture.
A founding member of the Global Architecture Brigade at Virginia Tech, Kelly McFadden now serves DXA as a junior architect. She previously lent her expertise to Viñoly Architects. Also a graduate of Virginia Tech, David Scurry has joined DXA as a junior designer. He is a former intern with Skidmore, Owings & Merrill. Gregory Cane has been hired as the firm’s new office manager, bringing 15 years of expertise serving practices such as Steven Harris Architects, Lebowitz Design, and Loci Architecture.
