San Francisco-based Engage Hospitality has appointed David Chin as president and CEO.
Yvonne Lembi-Detert, CEO and president of the Personality Hotels Collection, is stepping down after working for more than 30 years in the hotel industry. Lembi-Detert founded the hotel management company along with Chin, COO of Personality Hotels, in 2010. Engage has more than 13 hotels to its portfolio.
Since the company’s inception, Chin has managed Engage’s daily operations and portfolio. He was responsible for development and acquisitions, overseeing corporate sales, and the company’s marketing, revenue, IT, engineering, and HR departments.
With more than 20 years of industry experience, Chin has held various senior-level positions in the boutique-lifestyle hotel sector, working at Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, Mosser Hotels, InterContinental Hotels Group, the Warwick Regis Hotel in San Francisco, and for Personality Hotels—his most recent position before joining Engage Hospitality.
