Hospitality Design magazine is pleased to announce the world’s leading and most recognized hospitality tradeshow and conference, HD Expo, has opened registration for its 26th annual event. The premier show for interior designers, architects, purchasing agents, owners, operators, brand executives, and other hospitality design professionals will be held May 3-5th, 2017 at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.
The three-day event offers many outlets of inspiration. HD Expo is where more than 850 international manufacturers choose to debut new products—from lighting and seating to wallcoverings and furniture; designers and architects can gain valuable AIA and CEU credits attending one of over 25 conference sessions; and attendees can make game-changing connections and cultivate relationships at multiple networking events.
“We bring the pages of the magazine to life during the conference sessions at HD Expo,” says Stacy Shoemaker Rauen, Hospitality Design magazine’s editor in chief. “From panels showcasing new hotel brands and development hotspots, industry veterans and rising stars will delve into standout projects and take on some of the most top-of-mind issues and trends.”
Conference highlights include the show’s signature event, the HD/ISHP Owners’ Roundtable, where attendees get one-on-one time with more than 30 hotel executives, as well as the opening session CEO Talk, which will feature leaders from some of the top lifestyle and luxury hotel companies sharing their views on the industry. Additional panels will explore how hospitality is influencing other industries—and vice versa, exquisite restaurants in unexpected places, and a development helping a beach town return to its former glory.
At the 2016 HD Expo, more than 10,670 attendees representing 47 countries marked HD Expo’s largest recorded audience to date, and that growth is expected to continue in 2017. While square footage was increased to accommodate additional exhibitors, floor space is already near maximum capacity and expected to reach over 265,000 square feet.
“We are the premier hospitality design event and are continuously looking for new and innovative ways to inspire,” says Liz Somerville, Emerald Exposition’s group show director. “We are enhancing exhibitor creativity and maximizing the attendee experience in 2017 by improving the layout and navigation of the show floor.”
