ForrestPerkins has announced that it will merge with international design and architecture firm Perkins Eastman as of January 1st.
With offices in Dallas, San Francisco, and Washington, DC, ForrestPerkins, operating under the same name, will continue to specialize in luxury hospitality and high-end residential projects but with an expanded footprint. The firm will debut a new practice area under ForrestPerkins president Deborah Lloyd Forrest and Shawn Basler—an executive director and principal at Perkins Eastman, where he is also the firm-wide hospitality practice leader.
“I am thrilled to join forces with Perkins Eastman,” says Forrest, who will remain in her current role. “The opportunities our combined practice provides for my team, the ability to expand into new markets worldwide, as well as retaining and building on the ForrestPerkins brand are all compelling reasons, the most important of which is our shared philosophy and collaborative culture.”
The combined international practice will total more than 1,000 employees.
“We are excited to offer employees of both firms enhanced personal and professional growth opportunities through ForrestPerkins’ unique design vision, combined with Perkins Eastman’s global reach and broader architectural platform,” adds Basler.
In January, ForrestPerkins will open an atelier within the Perkins Eastman’s New York office, as well as relocate to new offices in Washington, DC and San Francisco later in the year. Perkins Eastman will also extend its presence to join ForrestPerkins in Dallas.
Perkins Eastman currently has offices in New York; Boston; Charlotte, North Carolina; Chicago; Los Angeles; Pittsburgh; San Francisco; Stamford, Connecticut; Toronto; Washington, DC; Guayaquil, Ecuador; Dubai; Mumbai; and Shanghai.
