Chicago-based the Gettys Group has announced the promotion of Christy Hubbard to the role of design director. An 11-year veteran with the firm, Hubbard previously served as a senior project designer.
“Christy’s well-deserved promotion marks a year of tremendous growth for us,” says Gettys Group principal Dan Welborn. “Christy’s extensive experience and continued innovation greatly contribute to our company’s evolution and ability to meet the globally changing needs of the marketplace.”
Hubbard has contributed to projects such as the Le Méridien Atlanta Perimeter, the Al Ghurair Centre in Dubai, and Minneapolis’ Sheraton Bloomington Hotel and Hotel Ivy. An IIDA member, she earned her BFA in interior design from Iowa State University.
