Hirsch Bedner Associates (HBA) will soon open its first Miami office to better align with Latin American hospitality developments.
Founded in 1965, HBA specializes in hospitality interior design services across the globe, with its downtown Miami location expected to expand this footprint in the Caribbean and Latin American regions.
“Miami is a gateway to emerging Latin American countries and a business hub for this part of the world,” says Cristian Rubio, associate director for HBA Miami. “This location is an extraordinary base from which multi-national corporations can expand into the region. This also allows companies from these countries to access global markets.”
The firm has already begun working on projects throughout Florida, Venezuela, Ecuador, Colombia, and other unannounced locations. Scheduled for completion in 2016, two projects include the 172-key Eurobuilding Hotel in Puerto La Cruz, Venezuela, as well as the 147-room EB Quito Hotel in Ecuador.
Rubio has worked on hospitality, interior design, and residential projects since attending Madrid’s High Technical School of Architecture. After establishing his own firm, Rubio+Pozuelo Arquitectos, Rubio previously worked in HBA’s Singapore office.
