Hospitality Design (HD) took home three wins at the 2018 Eddie and Ozzie Awards from Folio: magazine, the premier awards celebration for the publishing industry for both editorial excellence (Eddies) and outstanding creative design (Ozzies). HD received four Eddie nominations total, with two in one category, out of more than 2,500 entries.
HD’s September 2017: Outside Influences issue, covering inspirational spaces across the world, was honored in the category “Series of Articles b2b, Design/Construction,” while the November 2017 guest editor issue with Six Senses CEO Neil Jacobs, which explored sustainability’s influence on design from the perspective of 19 earth champions and wellness visionaries, won in the category “B2B Architecture & Design.” The front of book section of the annual HD Expo Issue, published in May, received the award for “Magazine Section B2b.” A comprehensive snapshot of what’s happening in the industry, the section featured a sit-down with David Rockwell, profiles on Janet Echelman and Sir Hotels, and a look at innovative new hotels and F&B properties, like Roman & Williams Guild.
“We are honored to have been awarded three Folio: awards that showcase the breadth of our work and the team effort behind each issue,” says HD editor in chief and Hospitality Design Group vice president Stacy Shoemaker Rauen. “We pride ourselves on delivering the best of the best in design and it’s amazing to be recognized for curating distinct stories that are meant to inspire and inform. We are passionate about this industry and proud of the magazine.”
Roughly 350 professionals gathered at the Hilton Midtown in New York on October 9th to celebrate all the winners and finalists, which were selected by a jury of their editor peers. For a full list, click here.
