SIXTY Collective, the company formed in 2013 by brothers Jason Pomeranc, Michael Pomeranc, Lawrence Pomeranc, and long-time collaborator Stephen Brandman announced the appointment of Jim Biggar as president of their SIXTY Hotels brand of properties currently in New York, Los Angeles, and Miami.
The newly created position marks a forward step toward the company’s expansion plans for the luxury lifestyle hotel company, which debuted in early 2014. In his new role, Biggar will oversee the day-to day operations together with the revenue and financial growth of SIXTY Hotels, and he will lead the company into the next phase of its expansion as the brand opens Nautilus—a SIXTY Hotel in Miami this July—and SIXTY Montreal in late 2016.
“Jim’s wealth of experience in customer service and staff development is exactly want we need to further enhance our service culture,” says Michael Pomeranc, co-owner of SIXTY Collective. “He is a great addition to the company, and we believe he will help us take SIXTY Hotels into the next phase of our development.”
Biggar joins SIXTY Hotels with more than three decades of experience in major markets worldwide where he has worked with more than 20 well-known brands such as Marriott International, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Hilton Worldwide, Hard Rock International, and InterContinental Hotels Group, and 25 independently branded hotels. Most recently, he spent the last three years as the executive vice president of North America for management company Interstate Hotels and Resorts where he established their core operating principals for more than 439 hotels around the world.
