New York-based firm IA Interior Architects has announced the addition of Jim Souza to the team as director of restaurant practice. Holding more than 30 years of experience in the hospitality and restaurant industries, Souza will serve IA from its Boston office.
Souza previously worked with Morris Nathanson Design, where he lent his expertise to projects for major brands such as American Airlines, Disney, PJ Clarke’s, Royal Caribbean, and Virgin.
“I am excited to bring an increased focus of hospitality and restaurant design to this most talented firm. With the ever-changing restaurant market, I believe it is critical to have a more holistic view of restaurant design,” Souza says. “IA, with their reputation for innovation and design excellence, very clearly brings this to the table as well as a personal, hands-on approach to its client relationships.
