Loews Hotels & Resorts has announced the promotion of two executives as well as the hiring of a new senior vice president.
John Cottrill has been promoted to COO, while Matthew Brenner is now CFO. Cottrill previously served as executive vice president of operations for Loews since 2012, during which time he oversaw day-to-day operations from F&B to training and facilities. Brenner joined the Loews team in 2014 as senior vice president and corporate controller. Assuming the role of CFO following the retirement of predecessor Vince Dunleavy, Brenner will now oversee finance, accounting, reporting, strategic planning, and risk management.
Joining the company is George Fleck, who will fill Brenner’s former post as senior vice president. Fleck has more than 20 years of experience in hotel operations, marketing, and brand management, and will oversee architecture, marketing, management, and expansion of Loews brands including the OE Collection. Prior to Loews, Fleck was vice president of global brand management for Starwood.
