Michael Feterik, founder of Orange County Container Group, has purchased Fabtex.
Feterik will act as chairman and CEO of the Danville, Pennsylvania-based company, which specializes in the production of hospitality industry bedding and window treatments. Additional manufacturing facilities are located in North Carolina and California.
“Feterik’s ownership and leadership is perfectly timed given his many years of financial management and acquisition experience,” says Fabtex president Adam Jurlin.
In addition to its main brand, the Fabtex portfolio includes FabriLux luxury fabrics; FabriViron environmental fabrics; Pure Shade motorized window treatment systems; the Coulisse/Fabtex collection of shades; Spec-Tex; and FabriSafe, a environmentally safe microbe protection for textiles.
Feterik earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from California State University Long Beach and a master’s degree in industrial psychology and counseling from the University of Michigan. He previously owned the Calgary Stampeders, a Canadian Football League team in Alberta, Canada.
