MTS Seating is celebrating 60 years of ongoing success in the hospitality industry.
Michigan Tube Swagers and Fabricators (MTS) was founded by Paul Swy and Dean Curtis in 1955. By the end of the 1970s, the business was focused exclusively on the hospitality field and became prominent for its durable and affordable steel-framed seating. Based in Temperance, Michigan, the company also has three manufacturing plants.
The brand continues to ship to more than 20 countries around the world, and offers customers made-to-order products through the MTS Custom Shoppe and collaborations with other designers. The SynerGreen philosophy ensures that the MTS remains sustainable, emitting as few chemicals as possible, and the MindClick Global Sustainability Index has even named MTS as a sustainability leader. The company has also been UL Greenguard certified for the last eight years.
MTS adopted “the art of seating” as its mantra in 2014, reinforcing the principle that each piece is a work of art.
“After 60 years in business, we never see a chair as just a chair,” says Bart Kulish, MTS Seating president. “We see it as an opportunity to drive smarter, more stylish, more functional seating solutions that capture the eye, support the body and inspire the imagination.”
