Shelton, Connecticut-based New Castle Hotels & Resorts has announced the promotion of Jeremy Buffam to the role of vice president of capital projects and facilities. A career project manager, Buffam will oversee the ongoing growth of the hospitality brand’s portfolio in the U.S. and Canada. He is currently involved with projects such as the renovations of the Westin Nova Scotian in Halifax; the Algonquin Golf Course in St. Andrews, New Brunswick; and the Hampton Inn Milwaukee Downtown.
“Jeremy has an engineer’s passion for innovation and resource conservation as well as an owner’s instinct for cost containment and long-term return on investment,” says New Castle’s president and COO Gerry Chase. “We are able to deliver a better return for our owners and we are better development partners because of Jeremy’s combination of skills and sensibilities.”
A graduate of Wheaton College in Chicago, Buffam’s construction project and management experience includes roles with Stoughton, Massachusetts-based Stone & Webster Engineering, ENSR International, and Walsh Associates in New York.
