Perkins and Will has revealed the launch of a new studio in Monterrey, Mexico. Tom Reisenbichler, who serves on the Perkins and Will board, will assume the role of studio leader as the new practice develops, while architect Antonio Perez Vazquez will tackle day-to-day business. The firm will continue to expand the team at its Monterrey office through 2020 as well.
“Our investment in Monterrey reflects our commitment to clients in this important part of the world, and to diversifying our talent firmwide,” says CEO of Perkins and Will Phil Harrison. “The more diverse our global teams, the more innovative our work, the better we can serve our clients and communities.”
“The most important thing for our clients to know is that, from our Monterrey studio, we will offer them the best of both worlds: a seamless blend of local and international designers, and the research, technology, and expertise of a global firm with award-winning work on nearly every continent,” adds Perez Vazquez.
