Global design practice Perkins and Will has announced that Brent Capron, who currently serves as interior design director of the firm’s New York studio, has been elevated to the role of principal. Capron joined the practice in 2017, and was promoted from associate principal through the Perkins and Will Leadership Program, which recognizes employees who have a positive impact on culture and client work through design innovation and excellence.
“It’s an honor to lead such an extraordinary team of interior designers in our New York studio, and to work with such creative clients every day,” Capron says. “I’m grateful for the opportunity to grow our portfolio while helping best-in-class organizations embark on new beginnings in spaces that embody their brand essence.”
Bill Harris, managing director of the New York studio, adds: “Both our studio and clients have benefited tremendously from Brent’s incredible talent and affinity for collaboration. Each project he’s touched has been influenced by his poetic and intentional design choices, and his emphasis on longevity and end-user experience. He is skilled at translating client goals and aspirations into exceptional interior spaces.”
A native of Colorado, Capron holds a degree in architecture from Pittsburgh’s Carnegie Mellon University and is an AIA member.
