Global architecture and design firm Perkins+Will has made technological changes to benefit its clients in Latin America.
Last month, the firm fully integrated the work system of its São Paulo, Brazil office within the Perkins+Will global technology platform. This move will streamline local and international client service delivery.
“Now, no matter where in the world they are, if our hospitality clients wish to do business in Latin America, they have direct access to a local team of hotel planning, programming, and design experts,” says Perkins+Will’s director of hospitality Tom Hupe. “Through the integration, our São Paulo practice is more acutely part of our global design network, providing clients with a unique on-the-ground resource to help them navigate the Latin American business terrain.”
Some of the firm’s current Latin American hospitality projects include the AC Hotel Rio de Janeiro Porto Maravilha, which will open in 2016; and a new 176-key Hyatt that is under development for 2017 in Brazil.
The firm is additionally conducting feasibility studies for three Brazil properties.
“As a sector, hospitality exemplifies many of our key strengths, including international and local insight, quality of design, and high standards of service,” says Richard Marshall, international strategy director for Perkins+Will. “This is the hallmark of our offer in Latin America.”
