Robert Allen Design has launched its new website with upgrades and a redesigned interface.
The new site will now show up proportionately on every device, including desktops, laptops, tablets, and mobile devices. The header features an interactive color bar and five rotating images linking to showcased collections. The new site includes Trending and Inspiration sections, while the rest of the menus are customized for each corresponding category: fabric, furniture, contract, trim, drapery hardware, and eLibrary.
A new mega menu simplifies site navigation, allowing designers to shop within the categories and navigate to a search result page. Hovering over thumbnail images now allows signed-in designers to see price and available lots, or alternatively utilize the improved filter capabilities for their product searches that include options for scale, end use, pattern type, performance, and a price range slider.
The updated list view function allows users to save time by ordering stock, making a reservation, or downloading a digital memo right on the page. Fabric specifications are also available without navigating to another page.
Within their account, designers can create palettes with up to four colors using the color grid, which contains 162 Robert Allen proprietary colors and save it under My Studio. After uploading an image, the site can automatically extract a color palette to aid designers in their product search. Zooming in on the image refines the search and changes the palette grid.
