Minneapolis-based RSP Architects has added 8 new principals and 10 associate principals to its leadership team to respond to individual growth and new market opportunities. In the past 15 years, the 38-year-old firm has grown significantly, opening three new offices in the U.S., and one in India. Currently, the firm is experiencing steady growth in the entertainment, hospitality, retail, and corporate sectors.
“In promoting this next generation of leaders, we are ensuring RSP’s continued success by supporting emerging and expanding opportunities,” says president David Norback. “We are also solidifying the firm’s long term future by providing the mentorship and training new or young leaders often need to be truly successful.”
The new principals are Heather Dunn, who will become program director for RSP’s corporate accounts; Terry Helland, who supervises RSP’s largest and most complex projects; Dev Jain, who joins the firm after serving as CEO and managing director of Alexander Architects, a RSP subsidiary in Bangalore; Bonnie Krause, who has served as a program manager of RSP’s Target stores for 25 years; Derek McCallum, who oversees RSP’s multimedia design efforts; Ian Scott, who works in the hospitality and entertainment studio; and David Serrano, who has been appointed director of interiors.
The new associate principals are Beau Dromiack, who directs design for higher education, theater design, advanced tech, senior living, and sustainability projects; Mark Forsberg, who is a design lead for large scale corporate projects; Steve Hall, who is a structural engineer with more than 30 years of experience; Ed Hess, who leads the distribution and warehouse studio; Courtney Kuch, one of RSP’s most experienced retail project mangers; Ter Kwant, the director of RSP Dreambox; Matt Lilly, who manages staffing and project management initiatives; Jason Ploszaj, the design lead at RSP’s Phoenix office; Mark Stousland, a leader at RSP’s federal government studio; and Bill Wittrock, who specializes in the design of retail and mixed-use developments.
RSP’s more than 250 employees are spread through its offices in Minneapolis, Rochester, Minnesota; Phoenix; and Fort Worth, Texas.
