David Hammarley has joined sbe as its new CFO. Hammarley’s hiring marks the seventh senior leadership addition in less than a year and the fourth in 2017. He will work closely with founder and CEO Sam Nazarian to oversee finance functions across the sbe platform.
“We are excited to welcome David as our new CFO,” Nazarian says. “His significant hospitality experience, strong track records in both finance and strategy, and tenure working for a large global organization, will be extremely valuable to sbe as we continue to expand globally.”
A 20-year industry veteran, Hammarley previously served as senior vice president of corporate finance for Marriott International following its merger with Starwood Hotels & Resorts, where he held various leadership roles since joining in 2007. He has worked in finance and strategic planning for American Express and holds a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of California and an MBA from Yale University.
