Sbe has appointed John Chan as its new senior vice president of development. Chan will oversee the growth of sbe’s hotel pipeline and international real estate investments. In his new role, Chan will also collaborate with owners and developers to deliver new hotel management and licensing deals.

Chan previously served for 12 years with Starwood Hotels & Resorts, where he focused on the global development of owned, managed, and franchised properties. He also led strategic and corporate development. He also worked in corporate development with Cendant Corp.
