Minneapolis-based Shea Design has appointed Heather Sorensen as director of interiors.
“[Heather] knows us, she knows what makes us tick and sets us apart from other design firms, locally and nationally, and will help continue to elevate management. We’re excited to have her on board to help our interiors department excel,” says Shea Design CFO Jason Dvorak.
Sorensen will be responsible for managing staff within the firm’s interiors department, overseeing project quality control, and supporting the growth and development of junior designers.
“I’m excited to serve as a mentor to junior designers and really push Shea’s projects into the next level from a behind-the-scenes place,” says Sorensen, who will partner with design director Cori Kuechenmeister during design and management processes.
Sorensen most recently served as interior designer at the locally based architecture and design firm Cunningham Group before returning to Shea, where she previously worked as a senior interior designer for nine years.
