New York-based design house Stacy Garcia has appointed Amy Nercessian to creative director.
Under the direction of chief inspiration officer and CEO Stacy Garcia, Nercessian will head creative strategy and art direction for company brands that include Stacy Garcia Hospitality, Stacy Garcia | New York, and Stay by Stacy Garcia. She will oversee brand, product, and employee development, as well as conceive marketing strategies.
Nercessian joined the company as a designer of hospitality products in 2007 before being promoted to senior brand strategist in 2012. At that time, she became responsible for design direction and marketing strategy for Stacy Garcia Hospitality, along with overseeing collections for licensees.
“Amy is a multi-talented creative professional who has been leading our design and marketing teams from development through the launch of our successful Stacy Garcia Hospitality collections,” says Garcia, who founded the global lifestyle brand in 2004. “She has been instrumental in setting the stage for the beginnings of our new consumer brands, and I am thrilled to see her step into this new role within my organization.”
