Emerald Expositions’ executive vice president Joe Randall recently announced the promotion of Stacy Shoemaker Rauen to vice president of the Hospitality Design Group. While maintaining her role as editor in chief of Hospitality Design magazine, Shoemaker Rauen will also drive strategic direction and programming for the overall brand, ultimately creating a more unified vision and voice across HD’s various platforms.
Owned and operated by Emerald Expositions, the Hospitality Design (HD) Group includes Hospitality Design magazine, HD Expo, HD Summit, HD NextGen Forum, HD Awards, HD Platinum Circle Awards Gala, HD CitySCENE, HD SiteSeeing, and the soon-to-launch HD Elevate. Shoemaker Rauen’s new role will also include oversight of Contract and the magazine’s multiple events.
“Stacy has proven to be a valuable asset to Hospitality Design and Emerald Expositions for 16 years,” says Randall. “In her expanded role, she’ll be able to continue her dedicated work for the HD brand while utilizing her industry knowledge to expand the whole design group.”
Managing editor Alissa Ponchione is also being promoted. As newly named executive editor, Ponchione will ensure the seamless transition of responsibilities and continue to grow the brand while managing much of the day to day. “For the last four and a half years, Alissa has been an invaluable asset to the magazine and our events, helping us to not only grow across many platforms, but also raise the bar on our content,” says Shoemaker Rauen. “I am excited to see what she does in her new role.”
