Coinciding with his ten-year anniversary at the studio, Chris McDonough has been promoted to principal with Chicago-based the Gettys Group. McDonough, who is accredited by the American Institute of Architects and the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards, began his career with the firm as a senior project designer assisting with renovations for the Renaissance Chicago Downtown Hotel. McDonough earned his masters in architecture from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
“Chris’ singular design vision has contributed greatly to a number of projects for us,” says Roger Hill, chairman and CEO for the Gettys Group. “From high-profile hotel initiatives such as the Godfrey Hotels in Chicago and Boston, the AGC Rotana in Dubai, and the Ronald McDonald House in Chicago, Chris and his team put the guest experience above all else.
