Atlanta-headquartered developer the Hardy Group has announced the appointment of Brent Hardy to president. Initially joining the company in 2008 as project director, Hardy since went on to serve as senior project director and director of development. He has played instrumental roles in numerous projects, including the renovation of the Revere hotel in Boston and the adaptive reuse of the Hyatt Centric Waikiki Beach.
“I am very pleased to announce Brent’s promotion to president,” says John Hardy, chairman and founder of the Hardy Group and father to Brent. “Brent’s strategic focus, exceptional leadership, and commitment to the company has been instrumental in Hardy’s growth. Over the past 14 years, Brent has worked his way up through the organization, truly learning the inner workings of the family business. I look forward to reaching new levels of success with his increased involvement.”
A graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with dual master degrees in architecture and business administration, Hardy is a registered architect in Georgia and a member of the American Institute of Architects. Prior to joining Hardy, he spent three years with St. Louis architecture firm Rosemann & Associates.
“I am excited and honored to transition into this new leadership role,” Brent Hardy says. “Over the last 30 years, my father has provided mentorship that has allowed the Hardy Group to become the premier development services provider to the hospitality industry. I am thrilled to build upon that foundation as we look towards what new successes we can achieve in the next 30 years.”
