Responding to growth in the Hawaiian market, Atlanta-based the John Hardy Group has promoted and added members to the project management team in its Honolulu office.
Lars Fitter is the new managing director of the office. He joined the John Hardy Group in 2014 after a decade of experience in the Hawaiian hotel market. Fitter is supported by operations director Nathan Hall, who has been with the firm for 10 years, and Cynthia Gartner, who recently joined the firm as senior project director. She has over two decades of experience representing hospitality owners in Hawaii and Guam.
The firm’s office in Honolulu opened 18 months ago, and is currently providing development services on five projects representing a total of $700 million in investment value on Oahu, Maui, the Big Island, and Lanai. These projects include the conversion of the Waikiki Trade Center office tower into a boutique hotel, as well as major renovations at the Queen Kapiolani Hotel. It is also overseeing a renovation of the guestrooms and public areas at the Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort & Spa for Silverwest Hotels, as well as a tower conversion to timeshare units and a full remodel of the cabana building to luxury suites.
There are a total of 11 people in the John Hardy Group’s Honolulu office.
