Hilton Worldwide has announced plans to rebrand the Maranatha Group-owned Astor Hotel Saint-Honoré within its Curio – A Collection by Hilton portfolio.
Located in Paris, the hotel will be completely renovated and opened under a franchise agreement between Maranatha and Hilton Worldwide.
“Having announced our first two hotels in Europe earlier this month, Curio is gaining momentum with an exceptional addition in the heart of Paris’ international fashion district,” says Patrick Fitzgibbon, senior vice president of development, Europe and Africa, for Hilton Worldwide. “Independently owned and operated, the Astor Hotel will join Hilton Worldwide’s growing international portfolio, which includes more than 4,300 hotels worldwide.”
Lord John Jacob Astor, who also developed the former Astoria Hotel in New York, built the six-story Astor Hotel Saint-Honoré in 1907. After its renovation, the historic property will house 128 guestrooms and suites, retaining its original early 20th-century façade.
“We’re embarking on an exciting renovation program, which will preserve and restore this important Parisian landmark for future generations under Curio – A Collection by Hilton,” says Maranatha CEO Olivier Carvin. “Hilton Worldwide’s unparalleled distribution capabilities and customer base will allow us to maintain the hotel’s unique charm whilst benefiting from global distribution. Joining Curio is exactly what we want for our company, allowing us to find the right partner in order to preserve the soul of our hotels.”
Renovations are scheduled for completion in 2016.
