JW Marriott Hotels & Resorts has announced the opening of its second Turkey location, the JW Marriott Bodrum, next month.
“The opening of our second property in Turkey marks a time of great growth and development for the JW Marriott brand,” says Mitzi Gaskins, vice president and global brand manager for JW Marriott. “The new JW Marriott Bodrum combines the best of traditional Turkish culture with the contemporary design and signature service our guests have come to expect from JW Marriott properties around the world.”
Located in the town of Yalikavak, the 107-room property will have its own private beach on the Aegean Sea with a dock for guests arriving by boat or going sailing. Diving sites, the Yalikavak Marina, the Bodrum castle, and the Bodrum Amphitheatre are within close proximity.
The approximately 6,562-square-foot spa is a partnership with spa brands June Jacobs and Thalion and feature 24 treatment rooms, a salt room, and traditional Turkish baths. Guests will also have access to a kid’s club, two outdoor pools including an infinity pool, indoor pool, an approximately 1,378-square-foot ballroom, and five meeting rooms. The hotel will also have multiple dining options, such as the Pool Grill, an a la carte restaurant, a beach bar, lobby bar, chill-out bar, and a coffee lounge.
The opening of the JW Marriott Bodrum marks the brand’s seventh location in Europe. Further properties in the pipeline include the JW Marriott Cabo San Lucas Resort, Mexico this year; and JW Marriott Vancouver Place Stadium, British Columbia, in 2016.
