Meliá Hotels International has announced the development of three new properties in Vietnam and Indonesia.
With more than 20 hotels in five countries, Meliá is consolidating its hotel management model and planning a series of management agreements and a strategy based on market intelligence, sales, and distribution to further expansion in the Asia market.
“For decades our company has led the resort domain in the Mediterranean and the Caribbean,” says Bernardo Cabot, vice president of Meliá Hotels International in Asia Pacific. “We are in a great position to grow as the key holiday destinations in Asia while meeting the expectations of modern travelers as well as offering innovative hotel experiences that revolutionize the traditional sun and beach concept.”
The company recently opened the 132-room Sol House Kuta Bali and has scheduled renovations to adapt its design to the Sol House brand standards. Additionally, Melía is planning to open the 178-room Sol House Jimbaranare condo-hotel, in 2018. Both properties will feature restaurants, pools, spas, meeting rooms, and children’s activities.
Continuing its expansion efforts, Melía has scheduled a 2016 opening date for its first Sol resort in Vietnam, the 200-room, 16-villa Sol House Phu Quoc, a 4-Star eco-resort.
